2009 Section II girls volleyball tournament brackets

Class AA
The Bethlehem Eagles earned the No. 1 seed and a quarterfinal bye.

Class A
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, undefeated in the Suburban Council yet again, took the No. 1 seed and a first round bye, but Troy High will get another home playoff match Tues., Nov 3. against No. 6 Mohonasen.
Catholic Central drew the No. 7 seed and will travel to No. 2 Queensbury on Tues.

Class B
Schalmont drew the No. 1 seed. Friday, Holy Names and Bishop Gibbons compete in a play-in game for the right to face Schalmont in the quarterfinals.

Class C
Loudonville Christian drew the No. 1 seed and a first round bye. Tamarac, the Wasaren League champion, earned the No. 3 seed and will get a home game against No. 14 Mechanicville Friday with an inside track at another home match Tuesday against the Fonda-Schuylerville winner.
Maple Hill is No. 4, followed by No. 8 Rensselaer and No. 12 Hoosic Valley.

Class D
Among local teams, Berlin is No. 7 and Waterford No. 8.
