The on-and-off rain today caused a couple rain out and rain shortened games today. The Nisky-Shen class AA game will be played Sunday at 1p.m. at Shenendehowa.

The Lansingburgh/Scotia will resume on Monday with Scotia up 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Top Seeded La Salle beat the defending AA champion Guilderland Dutchmen 8-1. Dave Roseboom pitched a six strike out, three-hitter and Amar Lewis had a single, two doubles and three RBIs.

The Cadets will take on second-seed Bethlehem Wednesday at Joe Bruno Stadium. The Eagles beat six-seed Shaker 6-1 behind Lucas Nitsche's triple single and two RBIs.

Columbia continued its flair for the dramatic with a 7-5 win over Colonie. Ian Gaule hit the game winning walk off three-run home run to advance the Blue Devils to semis where they'll face the Shen/Nisky winner.

Bishop Maginn won its first sectional game in school history with a 5-3 win over top seed South Glens Falls in Class A. Andrew Butler hit a base-clearing double with two out in the bottom of the seventh. The Griffins will face four seed Ichabod Crane at Shuttleworth Park on Wednesday.
